Objective:
Harnesses should be fitted and worn correctly at all times. The harness training course teaches proper harness fitting. It teaches how to safely adjust the harness, providing the wearer with a reliable and safe fit. Delegates will also learn how to properly attach associated equipment and accessories including lanyards.
Participants will learn about different forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and anchor systems. Finally, candidates will be taught how to attach work restraint systems that offer safe access to exposed edges and understand how to safely ascend and descend ladders.

Safe systems of work.
Methods of fall protection.
Existing safe working platforms.
Anchor identification and selection.
An understanding of work restraint systems.
An understanding of work positioning systems.
An understanding of fall arrest methods.
Risk assessing, identifying hazards and planning the work task.
Inspection care and maintenance of harness and associated equipment.

Fitting and adjustment of harness.
Understanding practically the use of the energy absorbing lanyards.
